As a chamber musician Martin Roscoe has partnered Emma Johnson, Michael Collins, Steven Osborne, the Chilingirian, Endellion, Vellinger, and Schidlof Quartets amongst others. He works regularly with violinist Tasmin Little, with whom he has recently given a series of concerts in Japan. A piano duo with Peter Donohoe, formed in student days, has led to performances at major festivals including Cheltenham, Bath, Harrogate and Edinburgh, as well as a Gershwin disc selected as Editor’s Choice in Gramophone magazine.
Martin Roscoe’s numerous recording projects have included piano concertos by Brüll and Dohnanyi for Hyperion, solo works by Dohnanyi for ASV, Clementi for CRD, Arvo Pärt with Tasmin Little for EMI, chamber music by Rebecca Clarke and Amy Beach with the Endellion Quartet and Copland and Dohnanyi with the Vanbrugh Quartet for ASV. Among his most recent releases are the Romantic piano concertos by Fuchs and Kiehl for Hyperion, Addinsell’s Warsaw Concerto, and James MacMillan’s the Berserking for Chandos (latter forthcoming). Future projects include Messiaen’s Visions de L’Amen and a solo disc of J.S. Bach Transcriptions, both on Hyperion.
