In addition to planning and liaison with artists, agents and school, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the concerts. If you would be willing to help with any of the following or would like more details, please speak to one of the officers or use the ‘Contact Us’ page.

1. Preparing the Hall
a) Before the Concert. The Concert Hall is the  School Lecture Theatre, also used as a Drama Studio. Furniture and props therefore need to be removed and the piano put in place, or moved to one side if not being used. Starting at 3.45 pm on the afternoon of the concert, this only takes a few minutes.
b) After the Concert. The hall must be put straight again before we vacate the premises.

2. Catering
Help with serving tea and coffee in the dining hall at the interval and take refreshments through if any members of the audience are unable to leave the concert hall.

3. Hosting Artists
Offering overnight accommodation is one way in which we keep expenses down.

4. Transport
Artists sometimes need to be picked up from either Preston or Clitheroe stations on the afternoon of the concert and returned the next morning.
